MiteGuard allergen barrier bedding covers are made in New Zealand by Allergen Control Services using proven effective allergen barrier fabrics (1,2) and proven effective construction methods (3).
MiteGuard covers should be fitted to your mattress, duvet and pillow. Your usual outer sheets and covers are then fitted over the top of the MiteGuard covers. Regular (weekly) washing of the outer sheets and covers in hot water (>55 oC) will maintain a low allergen environment in the bed.
All our covers share the following features:
- Proven to block more than 99% of house dust mite allergen
- Fully enclose the mattress, duvet or pillow
- Extra strong, taped seams (mattress covers)
- Extra long zip with internal flap for easy fitting
- Best quality YKK Zips used throughout

We manufacture covers in two different types of fabric. Our Premium range barrier covers are made from the renowned Pristine® precision microweave fabric, a breakthrough in allergen protection which sets the standard for comfort, ease of laundering and effectiveness. Our Cotton Natural range barrier covers are made from a 100% cotton precision microweave fabric, ideal for those who prefer pure cotton bedding products. Both ranges are, of course, equally as effective as house dust mite allergen barriers.
