MiteGuard Cotton Dust Mite Duvet Cover

MiteGuard’s cotton duvet cover fully encases your duvet inner to provide superior protection against dust mites. Made in New Zealand from 100% natural micro-weave fabric, the duvet protector is scientifically proven to reduce allergy symptoms triggered by dust mite allergen. 

The gaps in the fabric weave are only 3.5 microns- tight enough to prevent the transmission of dust mite and cat allergens to below detectable levels (tested at >99.9 allergen barrier efficacy against Der p 1 and Fel d 1 allergens).  This allows the sleeper  (that's you and your loved ones) an opportunity to reduce their exposure to allergy triggers, so they can have a more peaceful, comfortable sleep.

A zip is used to open/close the MiteGuard® duvet cover.  Once your duvet is inserted into the  duvet cover, an internal flap is put over the duvet before closing the zip, so both sides of the zip are covered by a protective flap of barrier fabric. This ensures no dust mite allergen will escape and that the zip will be comfortable to sleep on.  

The natural cotton is breathable – allowing 86% of the air-flow that passes through a standard poly/cotton sheet to pass through the duvet cover fabric.  

The cover only needs washing every 3 months and it can be machine washed and dried at 60℃.  You put your normal decorative  duvet cover over the top of the MiteGuard duvet protector. 

Please note:

• The fabric is tightly woven, so  whilst breathable, it is heavier than a loose weave cover, and it will add another layer onto your duvet - something to consider in the hottest part of Summer.
• Larger sizes (King and above)  will have more than one panel making up the width of the duvet protector.
• The Double and King Single size have merged, as manufacturers standardise the sizing.
